Webknot started with a simple observation: great engineering teams are rare, and great AI engineering teams are even rarer. We set out to build one — and then figured out how to make it available to every ambitious product company in the world.
7 years of product delivery, now AI-first
We started in 2019 as a product engineering firm in Bengaluru — focused on building complex SaaS products for companies that needed more than freelancers but couldn't hire a full team fast enough.
The first few years taught us a lot about what product delivery actually requires: not just code, but architecture that scales, processes that don't break under pressure, and teams that care as much about outcomes as outputs.
In 2022, we leaned fully into AI — not as a feature, but as infrastructure. We built AI into how we hire, how we review code, how we manage projects. The result was a step-change in delivery speed and quality.
Today, every Webknot engineer is an AI engineer. It's not a label — it's how we work. Our Olympus framework coordinates AI agents across every active project. And we've open-sourced the core as OpenClaw for the community.
